Mumbling for Mumbai

The wonder of it all...

America...
A one letter word that to me is synonymous with another word that's very hotly disputed here these days: Choice.
It's a land where you can choose to be happy or be miserable, it's a place where you can choose to be fat or thin (most people seem to 'lean' towards the former) and it's a place where you can choose to be American or un-American. Of course, it's easier said than done, when you have to make choices about what brand of flavo(u)red yogurt to pick up, and blah and blah...
So, in essence, it's not difficult to see why so many people can't seem to make up their mind about whether they love American movies, clothes but hate it's people or whether they hate American movies and politicians but embrace Americana like it's their long-lost-long-seeked religion and calling.
I think I know the answer. It's because they aren't American and they've never really had to choose. That prerogative of course lies with the Americans.
